<p><span data-contrast="auto">As the year draws to a close, we, at HRWize, find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we&#8217;ve had over the past 12 months. From onboarding new clients and attending HR tradeshows, to hitting a 99% customer service rate, this year has been a whirlwind in the best possible way</span><span data-contrast="auto">!</span><span data-contrast="auto"> Take a glance at a year in the life of HRWize &#8211; Celebrating milestones, addressing challenges, and envisioning the road ahead.</span></p>
<h5><strong>2023 Challenges </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">One of the main challenges we were faced with this year was ensuring our team maintained a healthy work-life balance. The importance of work-life balance has taken center stage in recent years, especially with the rise of remote work. Although our intentions are pure by wanting to be readily available for our clients, we also want to foster an environment that promotes a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}"> </span></p>
<h5><strong>2023 Wins </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Now let&#8217;s get into the good stuff! We had the wonderful opportunity to attend 3 tradeshows this year. The first was in February at the International Performance Management Institute (IPMI) in Florida, then again in July in Los Angeles where our president, Sally De Rosa, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7092197042512351232" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hosted a panel</a> on strategies for meeting expectations and improving satisfaction in today’s workplace. Lastly, we attended CRHA’s <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7117879806083432448/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Salon Solutions RH in Quebec City</a> in October where Sally gave an excellent presentation on “How to Maximize the Value of your HRIS”. We love attending these events for the opportunity to meet new people, engage in meaningful conversations about the world of HR, and see our clients! </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">More positive news from 2023 &#8211; We received 360 tickets from our clients and achieved a 99% customer satisfaction rate in resolving them! We are so proud of our support team and all the work they put in to ensure our clients&#8217; success. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Ending the year strong with a nomination for the “5-Star HRD Canada’s HR Software and Technology Providers Award!&#8221;</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}"> </span></p>
<h5><strong>What are we looking forward to in 2024? </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Glad you asked! As we enter 2024, we are looking forward to strategic partnerships with esteemed technology and HR consultancies and expanding our ecosystem of partners and integrations. These collaborations mark a pivotal step in our journey toward becoming the leading provider of HRIS for small to medium businesses, not only in Quebec but also across Canada. Our commitment to innovation and user-centric solutions is accompanied by an unyielding dedication to delivering exceptional customer service in the dynamic world of HR technology. As we chart this course, our goal remains clear: to revolutionize HR practices as the only HRIS provider designed and implemented by a <a href="https://hrwize.com/our-team/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">team of dedicated CRHA/CPHR-certified professionals</a>.  </span><br />
<span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Thank you for being part of the HRWize community — together, we&#8217;re building a future where HR technology meets human connection in the most meaningful way.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}"> </span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="auto">Vacation time means margaritas on the beach for many people, but it also means a boost in employee creativity. While there are various strategies to foster creativity, one often overlooked yet highly effective method is providing adequate vacation time for employees.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Vacation time can have a significant impact on employee creativity and innovation. Here are some ways in which it can influence these aspects:</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><strong>Escape from Routine </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Routine and familiarity can be <a href="https://hbr.org/1998/09/how-to-kill-creativity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">creativity killers</a>. Employees who are constantly caught up in the same tasks and responsibilities may find it challenging to think outside the box. A well-deserved vacation breaks this monotonous cycle, exposing employees to new experiences and environments. These new adventures can trigger inspiration, as they are likely to see things from different angles.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><strong>Revitalization of the Mind </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Vacations offer employees a chance to step away from the daily grind and rejuvenate their minds. The continuous flow of work can lead to burnout and creative stagnation. Employees who take time off to relax and detach from work return with a fresh perspective and renewed energy. This revitalization allows them to approach challenges with a more open mind, boosting creative thinking.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><strong> Cultivation of Diverse Perspectives </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">When employees take vacations, they often visit new places, interact with different cultures, and engage in unique activities. Such experiences can broaden their horizons and expose them to diverse perspectives. This exposure can be a catalyst for creativity, as it encourages employees to think beyond their comfort zones and integrate new ideas into their work.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Vacation time is not merely a break from work; it is an investment in employee creativity and innovation. Organizations that prioritize employee well-being and understand the importance of mental rejuvenation are more likely to witness a surge in creative thinking and groundbreaking innovations. <a href="https://hrwize.com/creating-a-vacation-friendly-company-culture/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Providing ample vacation time</a> fosters a positive work environment, encourages work-life balance, and leads to a workforce that is more motivated, engaged, and ready to conquer new challenges with imaginative solutions. As businesses continue to seek a competitive edge, they should recognize that empowering employees through vacation time can be a game-changer for creativity and innovation.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="auto">In today’s demanding work environment, maintaining a healthy work-life balance has become crucial. As organizations strive for higher productivity and employee well-being, the importance of employee vacations must be top of mind. Taking regular breaks from work not only benefits the employee</span><span data-contrast="auto">,</span><span data-contrast="auto"> but also contributes to a more productive workplace. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote><p><span data-contrast="none">Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes… including you.” – Anne Lamott</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:330}"> </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p></blockquote>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Exploring the positive impacts of regular employee vacations can help us understand their importance. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><strong>1. Enhanced Mental &amp; Physical Health </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Overworking and neglecting one’s personal life can lead to stress, burnout, and various health issues. Balancing work commitments with personal activities, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones helps reduce stress levels and improves overall wellness. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><span data-contrast="auto"><strong> 2. Personal Growth &amp; Self-care </strong></span></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">A well-balanced life allows individuals to explore new experiences, gain different perspectives, and engage in activities outside the office. This exposure to diverse influences can fuel creativity and innovation, as individuals bring fresh ideas and insights from their personal lives into their work.   </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><span data-contrast="auto"><strong>3.</strong> <strong>Improved Productivity </strong></span><strong> </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Contrary to the belief that working longer hours leads to higher productivity, </span><a href="https://www.tuc.org.uk/news/british-workers-putting-longest-hours-eu-tuc-analysis-finds"><span data-contrast="none">studies</span></a><span data-contrast="auto"> have shown that excessive work hours can actually decrease efficiency and performance. When people have time for rest, recreation, and personal pursuits, they return to work with more energy and focus, leading to increased productivity during working hours.  </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><span data-contrast="auto"><strong>4.</strong> <strong>Increased Employee Engagement &amp; Retention</strong></span><strong> </strong></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Organizations that prioritize employee vacations demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of their people team. When employees feel valued and supported in taking time off, it positively impacts their engagement and work ethic. Offering generous vacation policies and encouraging their utilization fosters a positive work culture and helps retain talent. Employees are more likely to stay with their organizations that prioritize work-life balance, leading to higher employee satisfaction and lower turnover rates.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="auto">It is officially summertime, so HR get ready for the time off requests and PTO! For the next 3 months, we will be talking about all things time off.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Starting right at the foundation of fostering a vacation-friendly company culture. Employees may feel guilty about taking vacation because they worry about burdening their colleagues with additional work or causing delays in project timelines. They may feel responsible for maintaining productivity and worry that their absence will negatively impact the team&#8217;s performance. Or if management does not actively promote or <a href="https://hrwize.com/work-life-balance-put-your-oxygen-mask-first/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">support work-life balance</a>, employees may feel uncomfortable taking time off. They may perceive a stigma or judgment surrounding vacations and feel that they should prioritize work over personal well-being.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">To address these feelings of guilt, it is crucial for organizations to foster a supportive company culture that values work-life balance and encourages employees to take time off. HR can play a vital role in promoting policies, communication, and initiatives that alleviate guilt and <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbeshumanresourcescouncil/2021/09/03/14-tips-for-encouraging-employees-to-take-time-off/?sh=1b9c6f6b5286" target="_blank" rel="noopener">create a vacation-friendly culture</a>.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><strong>Here are some steps HR can take to create a vacation-friendly company culture:</strong><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></h5>
<ol>
<li><b><span data-contrast="auto"> Develop Clear Vacation Policies</span></b><span data-contrast="auto">: Create clear and transparent vacation policies that outline the process for requesting time off, how vacation days are accrued, any blackout periods, and any restrictions or guidelines. Communicate these policies clearly to all employees.</span></li>
<li><b><span data-contrast="auto">Encourage and Normalize Taking Vacations</span></b><span data-contrast="auto">: Promote the importance of taking vacations for employee well-being, work-life balance, and productivity. Encourage employees to plan and utilize their vacation days. </span></li>
<li><b><span data-contrast="auto"> Lead by Example:</span></b><span data-contrast="auto"> HR leaders and managers should lead by example by taking regular vacations themselves (if possible). This demonstrates that taking time off is not only acceptable, but also encouraged within the company.</span></li>
<li><b><span data-contrast="auto">Teamwork/Collaboration</span></b><span data-contrast="auto">: Encourage employees to collaborate and provide coverage for each other&#8217;s roles when one person is on vacation. Promote a culture of teamwork and mutual support, where employees feel comfortable assisting each other during absences.</span></li>
<li><b><span data-contrast="auto">Recognize and Celebrate Vacations</span></b><span data-contrast="auto">: Acknowledge and celebrate employees&#8217; vacations when they return. Show appreciation for their time off and encourage them to share their experiences. This can create a positive atmosphere around vacations and further encourage others to take time off.</span></li>
</ol>
<p><span data-contrast="auto"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Creating a vacation-friendly company culture involves fostering an environment that values and supports employees&#8217; time off, while ensuring smooth operation in their absence. Incorporating these tips can create a culture where employees won&#8217;t feel guilty for taking time for themselves, and where mental &amp; physical rest is encouraged. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="auto">Little did you know when you give birth to a child you also immediately birth mom guilt. SURPRISE two precious life-altering gifts.  </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">If you’re a mom, I bet you don’t need a definition, but for those of us who can&#8217;t relate&#8230; </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto"><a href="https://www.mother.ly/career-money/work-and-motherhood/working-mom-guilt/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Working Mom Guilt</a>: A feeling of self-blame or remorse that working mothers often experience for not being able to spend enough time with their children, or for not being able to fulfill all of their parenting responsibilities due to<a href="https://hrwize.com/how-to-provide-a-suitable-environment-for-working-mothers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> work commitments.</a> It can be triggered by various situations, such as missing a school event, working long hours, or leaving the child with a caregiver. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Working mom guilt is a common emotion that many mothers feel, and it can cause stress, anxiety, and negative self-talk. It&#8217;s important for working moms to recognize that it&#8217;s completely normal to experience this.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">It can be challenging to manage, but here are some tips we suggest keeping in mind whenever you feel overwhelmed:</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><b><span data-contrast="auto">Practice self-compassion:</span></b></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Instead of beating yourself up over not being able to do everything, remind yourself that you&#8217;re doing the best you can! Treat yourself with kindness and understanding.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><b><span data-contrast="auto">Set realistic expectations:</span></b></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Recognize that you can&#8217;t do everything, and it&#8217;s okay to prioritize certain tasks over others. Set realistic expectations for yourself, and communicate them with your partner or support system.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><b><span data-contrast="auto">Be present: </span></b></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">When you do have time with your children, make it count. Focus on being present and engaging in activities that you both enjoy. If that means taking your phone and stuffing it in the messy miscellaneous drawer in the kitchen, so be it. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><b><span data-contrast="auto">Take care of yourself:</span></b></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Probably the most challenging one, simply because moms don’t think they deserve it, or that there isn’t enough time. Reminder moms, how can you possibly pour into others what you yourself don’t have? Taking care of your own needs is vital. Set aside time for self-care activities such as exercise, watching your favorite show, or going for dinner with friends.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<h5><b><span data-contrast="auto">Keep things in perspective</span></b><span data-contrast="auto">: </span></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">SO IMPORTANT! If your children are happy and feel loved – rest assured, you are nailing this motherhood thing.  </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Remember, working mom guilt is a normal feeling, and it&#8217;s important to address it in a healthy way. Perfection does not exist, and we tend to forget that while we as mothers try to be our children’s medics, teachers, caregivers, cooks, and soccer coaches +++. At the end of the day, we are all human, and it’s the love and quality time they will remember.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}"> </span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="none">By asking this simple question regularly, you can help create an </span><strong><a href="https://hrwize.com/the-human-workplace-are-you-ready/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">environment where employees feel safe sharing their feelings</a></strong><span data-contrast="none">—which will ultimately lead to higher levels of engagement and productivity.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="none">When you ask your employees how they are, you’re showing that you care about them as people. It’s a simple way to show that you value their well-being at the workplace, which is a great leadership quality. When your employees feel like they matter and are cared for, they’ll be more likely to go above and beyond in their work.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<h5 aria-level="2"><b><span data-contrast="none">It helps you create a connection with employees</span></b><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559738&quot;:360,&quot;335559739&quot;:80}"> </span></h5>
<p><strong><a href="https://hbr.org/2019/02/the-surprising-power-of-simply-asking-coworkers-how-theyre-doing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Research</a></strong><span data-contrast="none"> shows that many employees want more connection with their coworkers. <p><span data-contrast="none">This will make your relationships with employees much stronger, which can help you build trust throughout the company culture. Trust within an organization is essential for creating a positive culture—and we all know that happy employees work harder than unhappy ones!</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<h5 aria-level="2"><b><span data-contrast="none">Bottom line it’s great for your team</span></b><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559738&quot;:360,&quot;335559739&quot;:80}"> </span></h5>
<p><strong><a href="https://hbr.org/2019/02/the-surprising-power-of-simply-asking-coworkers-how-theyre-doing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Employee engagement has been shown</a></strong><span data-contrast="none"> to be positively correlated with higher productivity and employee retention, as well as positive word-of-mouth marketing. People who feel engaged with their work are more likely to stay at their job and recommend it to others. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">Engaged employees also tend to be more invested in the success of your business—not only do they enjoy what they do more, but they will often go above and beyond to help make sure that the company succeeds by identifying problems or making suggestions for improvement.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<h5 aria-level="2"><b><span data-contrast="none">Conclusion</span></b><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559738&quot;:360,&quot;335559739&quot;:80}"> </span></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="none">A study from HBR shows that exclusion is a rising problem among companies. A big part of that is the lack of commitment for leaders to check in with their employees. Asking your employees how they are doing goes beyond just words. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">It communicates that you care about their well-being, as well as their personal and professional development. It&#8217;s a way to create a bond with your employees and show them that they are valued members of your team. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="none">Something that we should adopt from airplane emergency guidelines is putting your oxygen mask first. Sounds selfish but it’s the best way that you can help those around you. See if we’re always giving to others without considering our own needs, we will be depriving those we care about of our best and fully present selves. You&#8217;re so focused on your tasks and projects that when the clock strikes 5 pm, it feels like the day has gone by so quickly that you can&#8217;t disconnect from work-mode.   </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">These days the lines between the beginning and end of the work day are increasingly blurred.  Receiving emails at odd hours, even ones that aren’t urgent, can make it hard to fully disconnect.  And working from home or meeting hard deadlines can make that disconnection almost impossible. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">When this happens, it&#8217;s easy to feel like there&#8217;s no separation between life and work — but, there absolutely is one. </span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="none">Here is how you can achieve that </span><a href="https://hbr.org/2020/02/how-to-leave-work-at-work" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b><span data-contrast="none">according to Harvard Business Review</span></b></a><span data-contrast="none">:</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}"> </span></p>
<h5><b>1) Keep a to-do list</b></h5>
<p>One of the most important things you can do to disconnect from work is to keep a to-do list. If your to-do list is unrealistic, poorly organized or not updated regularly, it will be hard for you to do this. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s so essential that you make sure that:</p>
<ul>
<li>Your list of tasks is realistic.</li>
<li>The tasks are well organized in order of priority and importance</li>
<li>The list gets regular updates throughout the day/weekend</li>
</ul>
<h5><strong>2) Write a plan for the next day </strong></h5>
<p>To make sure your work doesn&#8217;t follow you home, it helps to plan your next day, so you know exactly what needs to be done and when. Make a list of everything that needs to get done and set deadlines for each item. </p>
<p>This will help keep you focused on what&#8217;s most important at the office, which in turn keeps you from bringing home unnecessary stressors and distractions.</p>
<h5><strong>3) Find a hobby </strong></h5>
<p><span class="TextRun SCXW246904703 BCX8" lang="EN-US" xml:lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW246904703 BCX8" data-ccp-parastyle="Normal (Web)">Find something that you enjoy doing outside of work. You want to make sure that you don&#8217;t work too much and get burned out, but also don&#8217;t work too little and let your skills go stale.
